ABOUT OUR DELIVERIES
We’ll do our best to address any questions or concerns that you
may have on this page. If you should have any additional questions,
please don’t hesitate to phone us at 630.529.6391.
- All frozen or refrigerated items are shipped UPS 2nd Day Air unless requested otherwise. All other items are shipped UPS ground unless requested otherwise.
- Due to the perishable nature of some of our products, all shipments
are left without signature, unless going to group homes or dorms.
- 2-Day Air deliveries are scheduled for Wednesday through Friday. Sorry,
no Monday/Tuesday delivery for 2-Day Air. All others delivered Monday - Friday
- All Fax and On-line orders are confirmed via Email by our staff.
- All Illinois residents will be charged 2% sales tax.
- In the unlikely event that an item is unavailable or on backorder,
we will contact you via the phone to give you the option of a
full refund or an alternative purchase.

How
can I place an order with Turano Pastry?
We want to make ordering as convenient as possible for you. Please use our secured check out.
How can I pay for my order?
Turano accepts all major credit cards: American Express, Visa,
Master Card and Discover Card. We also accept checks for any mail
order
Will I get a confirmation for my on-line order?
Yes, your order will be personally confirmed via E-mail.
What information do you need to send out a package?
We need a complete street address, with a correct zip code, apartment
or suite number, city and the daytime phone number of the recipient.
What if I don’t have complete & correct address information?
We need to have complete & correct address information to successfully
delivery your package. If we send to an incorrect or incomplete
address, UPS will charge an additional $10.00.
Can I sent to a P.O. Box?
No. We cannot ship to a P.O. Box, only if the P.O. Box is preceded
by a Rural Route. UPS requires a physical street address.
Can I ship to a college dorm or nursing/group home?
Yes, but because of the nature of the residence, a signature will
be required. We strongly recommend you let the college student know
the package is coming and to be on the look out.
Is there a card enclosed for gifts?
Yes, we will hand write a special note per the gift message that
you enclose on the order form.
What kind of packaging are the baked goods sent in?
Since we prepare our products daily, we’ll be shipping to you on
the finest and freshest products! We hand pack each one of our items
in a reusable Styrofoam cooler with dry ice or ice packs to keep
the food cold. The cooler is then packed into a double strength
corrugated box.
Can you ship outside of the Continental USA?
No, we only ship to the 48 Continental states.
DELIVERY INFORMATION
What time will the package be delivered?
Packages shipped UPS 2nd Day Air will be delivered between
the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM Wednesday through Friday. An exact time
of delivery can not be given, it depends where the address is on
the UPS courier’s route.
Will UPS or Turano’s call before delivering the package?
No, it is your responsibility to let the recipient know a package
is coming. We strongly advise this because some of our products
are of a perishable nature and need to be put in refrigeration ASAP.
Does someone have to be home to sign for the package?
When sending to a residential address, it is standard practice
to leave the package at the door if no one is home; however, the
shipment must be preauthorized to do this. Please advise the recipient
that a package is coming and to be on the lookout.
What if I want to require a signature?
Yes, you can require a signature for deliveries to a home address.
If shipping to an office, UPS will require the signature of the
person accepting the package, whether they are the addresses recipient
or not.
What if I require a signature and no one is home when UPS delivers
the package?
The courier will take the package back to the UPS Station and
it will be the recipient’s responsibility to pick it up or schedule
a redelivery. Keep in mind that some of our cakes are perishable
and you may compromise the freshness of the product by doing this.
We will not be responsible for any spoilage in the event of this.
Will UPS keep the package refrigerated?
No, the products are packed in dry ice or ice packs in "Keep Fresh"
coolers that will keep for 48 hours, depending on the size
of the package.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
What
if there’s no dry ice in the package when I open it?
Dry ice evaporates, so there may not be any visible dry ice in
the package upon opening. If the products are cool to the touch,
they’re OK. Do not touch the dry ice if there is any left in he
box. You may be burned.
How long can the products keeps in the "Keep Fresh" coolers?
There is enough dry ice to keep the products frozen for 48 hours.
Can I put the products in the freezer?
If the products are fully defrosted, we do not recommend refreezing.
Refrigerate defrosted cakes and eat in a few days. If the cakes
are frozen, you can put them in the freezer.
How long do the cakes keep fresh?
We recommend eating the fresh cakes within two days of defrost
and frozen cakes within a week to experience the best taste.
What if I’m dissatisfied with my purchase?
We guarantee every item that we ship. In
the rare event of spoilage or damage, we’ll either issue you a credit,
in full, or ship out a replacement order, at our expense of course.

and we’ll personally advise you as to resolution of the problem.
Due to the nature of these perishables, unfortunately, we cannot
assume responsibility for incorrect addresses or items that may
have been left outside, unattended or beyond the perishable window.
